My name is Mrs. Mayer (Arielle Haze Mayer), and I teach math at Desert Hot Springs HS (PSUSD). I have been teaching math for over 13 years, with my first (official) 6 years at an all-girls charter school in Echo Park, Los Angeles, CA. I was born in 1977, and have had many careers over the years: town clerk, web designer, project manager, wedding photographer, wedding officiant… With a wealth of experience in the working world (both corporate and public sector), I bring real-world scenarios and stories to my classroom to share with my students. I am married to my best friend, Kyle Mayer. He’s a musician (drummer & programmer) and an artist (jewelry and paint).
It is my goal to inspire other human beings to be intelligent, kind, appreciative, hard-working, loyal, dedicated, and confident. I am a no-drama llama, and tell it like it is; however, kindness is always the forefront of my choice in words and attitude. We make our own way in life, and it’s not easy. The goal is to have fun, enjoy the moments before they are gone, and learn everything you can in the process. Be kind and respectful of others, treated people and animals as you wish to be treated.
